Echocardiography
Contamos con un servicio de ecocardiografía con prestaciones básicas y técnicas avanzadas donde se realizan: ecocardiografía transesofágica con un promedio de 350 casos anuales, ecocardiografía de estrés con más de 250 casos anuales, ecocardiografía para selección de pacientes en insuficiencia cardíaca para terapia de resincronización cardíaca, esta última como centro de referencia nacional para dicha técnica. El departamento ha sido pionero en la introducción y generalización de la ecocardiografía tridimensional en el país.
Among the diagnostic techniques that we offer are:
- Electrocardiography (ECG):
Our team of experts use the electrocardiogram to record the electrical activity of the heart. This non-invasive test is quick and simple, and allows us to assess cardiac function, to detect arrhythmias and diagnose diseases of the heart.
- Transesophageal Echocardiography:
With transesophageal echocardiography, we can obtain detailed images of the heart through the use of an ultrasound probe that is inserted through the esophagus. This technique allows us to evaluate the heart structures with greater accuracy, especially in cases that require a display more detailed.
- Echocardiography-Doppler continuous, pulsed, and color:
By using ultrasound, we can evaluate the blood flow in the heart, identify blockages or abnormalities in the heart valves and to evaluate the cardiac function of a non-invasive way.
